Baby M

We would like to introduce our new baby girl:

M J
(J forgot that we're keeping our names out of print and it has been removed. If you would like to know the name, just email either of us and we'll share it with you)

She was born on Tuesday and is doing really well. She is 8 lbs. 12 oz. and 21 inches.

She has some good hair going for her.

We also think she looks just like her big brother when he was a baby.

Can you see a similarity?

Her brother B's Baby Picture

We've also been told she looks like her Dad. Can you see the resemblance with their squinty eye?

C is loving being a big sister again and is so happy to hold baby M.

And we are doing well - just trying figure out how we are supposed to take care of 3 of them at one time!

More to come, I'm sure...

Football

C attended her first football game yesterday. Armed with her pom-poms, she cheered on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Some of her personal highlights included getting to meet several of the Dixie Darlings (the Southern Miss Drill Team) and meeting the twirler for the marching band.

With a new best friend

This was a very fun Daddy-Daughter date.

Also, "The PRIDE of Mississippi" Marching Band is a big deal at USM. They are very excited because they have been chosen to march in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. So, on Thanksgiving, tune into the parade to watch J's kids play their trumpets!

Recent Adventures Down South

We've been trying out all kinds of things in the South, and had great adventures in doing so.

Two weeks ago there was a rodeo in town, and the kiddos and mom went to go see calf-roping,
sit up on big tractors and have a kind man drive us around the parking lot, and get up close to some farm animals.

That same afternoon, although that wasn't enough, we all ventured out to our city zoo. The city itself has about 55,000 people, so although it's not a huge zoo, by golly folks, we've got
ourselves a real zoo with a tiger, jaguar, monkeys of various types, zebras, ostrich, alligators, etc. We are excited to live so close to a zoo that will entertain our kids for many visits!

In other big news, our little/big C has started preschool this week, and she couldn't be more excited! Here she is on her first day!

Last, but not least, yesterday we headed to the coast (just over an hour from our house) to attend an art walk of a cute downtown,

and then headed a mile south to the beach. Our kids had never seen the Gulf of Mexico before, and brother B had never been to a real coastal beach. They loved it and wanted to stay and play longer in the water and with the seagulls, but we needed to head home. J then proceeded to enjoy watching the Wolverines win their opening game (you can see him sporting his UM pride)!
Come one, come all down South...we've got lots to show you!
