Little Miss Sunshine had a great time devouring her cake
All our kids prefer frosting to the actual cake, hence the sucking it off her fingers!
One Saturday when Dad was gone, the kids and I hauled ourselves to the annual Pecan Festival. They played in the most random sand pit,
each rode their first ponies
pet roosters, horses, goats and such farm animals, watched tap dancing, watched a fiddle contest, watched soap being made and used such soap to hand wash clothes in a tub, as well as other old-time events, ate kettle corn, watched a potter throw clay and carpenter craft bowls out of wood, and at the end of the day, what was their favorite thing...playing in that gross sand pit! Really! REALLY! Well, we all had fun so who really cares what was my favorite thing, or anyone elses!
Helping Mom figure out what to do with Fall clothing to maybe start coming out, although we are still hitting mid-80s most days! Really... it's October folks! I miss real seasons!
Oh that's what we do with fall blazers and coats!
Just because it made him laugh so hard to be rolling around in the dewy grass with my permission. He has recently turned into quite the little ham, more than before if possible! (This is actually what he slept in and I have an incredibly hard time getting him out of it before 8:30-9 in the morning!)
We skipped picture day at school, so I promised to do her own photo shoot, and this one made me smile. I told her we could curl her hair and everything, but when the moment finally arrived, she didn't want to, switched outfits last minute and decided she really didn't even want to brush her hair- whatever gal, this is your photo shoot- whatever makes you happy!

Love the pictures!!! The Pecan festival sounded like all had a great time. Are you going to go pumpkin picking ? We recently went and Matthew had a great time.
Fall has been amazing here although we are almost 80 degree today. It feels good though, knowing that Michigan winter is coming. Love the photo shoot.

Apparently the sand pit was where it's at! That festival sounds like fun, Claire would have loved it; she's into pioneer stuff. I hope the cooler weather makes it your way soon. St. Louis is JUST now cooling down; we busted out the long-sleeves today. Great pictures of the kids - they are so precious!!
