Fun Family Outing

Yehaw! Ride 'em cowgirl!

Last night Jason was looking in fridge for a late night snack and says, "I feel like you are leading a secret life, there is food in here I didn't even know you bought!"

I felt like fessing up, but just laughed out loud instead! You know, it's true, I have been buying food that I don't list on the outside of the fridge.

We got quite a good laugh out of that, and decided that with our first free day together in more than a week, we would take time to stroll downtown as a family and work on making my secret life known to both of us. We also made sure to take lots of goofy pictures so that we would definitely look like tourists...and voila! Fun pictures for all to see!

This sculpture of a whale's tail is right outside a restaurant called "The Whale Tail Deli." So the question of the day is: Which came first, the restaurant or the sculpture?

There is a fun fountain close to downtown that is full of turtles- probably about 20. We pass them every few days on our walk to the library, and decided to they could make our blog- what lucky little turtles!

Sometimes I forget to look around and admire all the unique flora. I know that these are just your normal palm tree, but it's not that often you see a palm tree in Michigan. Jason calls the unique plants, Dr. Seuss plants. I'll have to find more on our next walk to show some of them to all.

This is just a fun walk way that we enjoyed.

How cute is that! Daddy-Daughter picture riding the dolphins in Santa Barbara. We have yet to see any real dolphins in the ocean, but look forward to that day. We have a dolphin rider in training!
