Today was our "Super Saturday" at church, which equated to 3, hour long classes or sessions to learn about many different topics, or complete craft projects. I am proud to say that along with coming home with two crafts, I also had a good intro to Asian cooking and attended a class on Spouse Communication.
Fortunately, J had his morning free, and stayed home with C for the 4.5 hours I was gone, including breakfast and lunch. He decided to send me with the cell phone, but made sure that I understood that I had to answer if he called. I agreed, thinking that he wouldn't really need to get a hold of me, but shortly after arriving, received a call. J said he had good news; I joked, asking if C had taken her first steps. No, he wanted to let me know I could come home a little later than first planned. Great.
Then I really didn't anticipate the next call, which came about 2 hours later. J sounded absolutely elated! What had happened?...well, C really did take her first steps!
What! My first thoughts were something along the lines of, "I'm home with her everyday, all day long, and I leave her with J for 3 hours... and she walks!", and "J always joked not to let her walk for the first time when he wasn't there, and she didn't!"
More than anything, it's exciting, and I'm so glad that her proud papa was the one who helped her get there!
Way to go kiddo! (Video to come...hopefully!)

Congrats!!! What a big girl! I can't believe it. And her bee costume is so cute! I love your pictures. I just want to reach out and nuzzle Caitlyn's neck!
Hey Alexis,
This is Melanie, your former "neighbor" at the MTC and Alta ward member. I was poking around the links on Noelle's blog and found you guys. I'm glad to hear that you're doing so well, and I must say, Caitlyn is ADORABLE!
How fun! Simon loves walking around while we hold his hands. Something I'm realizing though is that once they are more mobile there are lots more bumps from falling.
How exciting, Alexis! Has she gotten better this week? You must be so happy to almost be done with the crawling stage. She is so cute!
You gotta love the blogging world. I can't believe you guys have a little girl! Amazing...
