My truest love, my dear sweet husband of mine, says some of the silliest, most random things ever. Most of you know about this. One cannot be around him for less than 10 minutes and not experience one of his J-isms. I love this attribute of my husband, because it always makes me laugh.
My favorites in the last 2 hours have included:
"It's amazing how much of a difference a nose makes." (While looking at a picture of sisters and noticing how different the two look based just on their noses.)
"It's like, Heavenly Father gives us agency and all, but He doesn't put drugs in our cereal!" (Being totally serious and somewhat frustrated that I was letting C play with a real screwdriver and hammer.)
J: "I bet she doesn't fart."
Me: "Don't you wish I was more like her..."
J: "NO! I wouldn't want to marry someone who doesn't fart!"
(In all seriousness, discussing a mutual friend)
Me: "Dr. Bergman will have a nice ring to it, huh?"
J: "Oh yeah. I'm going to make everyone call me Dr....'No mom, it's not J anymore, you can call me Dr. Bergman,' and our kids can call me Dr. Daddy."
(During our discussion about completing a doctorate of musical arts.)
Well folks, there you have it. What is not to love?!
P.S. After J read this, he laughed at first, then was slightly bothered, and added a new J-ism to the whole thing, asking me to take off the fart conversations. And I quote, "I don't like to have my name associated with the word 'fart', in print."
I just started laughing and needed to add it. What a good sport he is!

Jason, you truly are very funny. I am glad to hear that you are going for the Doctorate. The Lord truly is in charge and if you feel like that is what you need to do, go for it, Rudy style.

Okay, LOVE all of the posts. I haven't checked up on you guys in awhile and you made my day!!! Thanks for the laugh (cookies and j-sms) It sounds like you are doing great! C is so absolutely adorable. We miss you guys and Jeff says hi! (let's set the kiddos up on a date when they're in college...they'll hate us forever and we'll get a good laugh! :) Well...they'd either hate 'another blind date' or love that it worked. haha Happy Holidays!!!
So I just recently joined the world of blogging and found your blog from from a link on another friends. I can't help but comment on the Dr. Daddy. That is our daddy's new name. Ellie calls him that all the time and James loves it. Look what C get's to look forward too.
