Really it should be Lucky Be Alexis this week!
Case 1: My dear sweet husband, who detests many of my shoes, saw a pair of shoes on a friend at school, and thought how much he liked them, and that he would get them for me for an early birthday present. They arrived on Monday, and I have worn them almost everyday since then.
(I know my dad would think they are hideous, but here is to betting that he doesn't look at this blog more than once a month, if that!)
Case 2: About a month ago, I received an email from a friend, telling me of Ryka, a shoe company that is currently running a promotion where they give away free prizes of t-shirts and shoes. I almost never go for these things, but thought, "Why not! I'd love a free pair of running shoes!"
Therefore I sent in my information and signed up 6 other family members and friends to receive an email about the promotion too. Last week my mother-in-law won a free shirt and I thought that was probably the closest connection I would have to winning....but....I got an email on Wednesday that I had won a pair of free shoes! And....they would be delivered within the week. Here we are, on Friday, and I have a beautiful pair of new running shoes on my coffee table currently. Wow!
I couldn't be more excited! I'm even more excited that the magenta color of these shoes doesn't glow as much as it seem in the picture below. Thank you Ryka! For those of you who haven't yet heard of this promotion, I guess it's going on through the month of October, and they are giving away 50 pair of shoes a day...you should try your chances!
