As you already know, we are house-sitting for a family that lives close to the mountains, and far from almost anything else. This has been another transition since I was used to being right downtown, and walking everywhere and anywhere I wanted to go. I feel a little more cooped up since the walkable streets consist of one cul-de-sac.
Good thing that this family has a peach tree that is more than full of fresh ripe peaches. This of course led to the question, how many things can I make with peaches. After scouring the internet, which was filled with many interesting ideas, I decided to go with the mainstream idea of peach pie.
This I know is a fairly hideous looking pie, but it tasted great! True confession, the reason I made the pie was because I found a dry pie crust mix in the pantry! I know I cheated, but it tasted like the real thing!
